Jwaye Nwel! Merry Christmas!

As we reflect back on the past year with the foundation, we recognize that we have lots to celebrate, as well as an abundance of prayers yet to be answered.

Life in Haiti continues to be unrecognizable to those that know and love this beautiful country. With a political system in chaos and gangs controlling the streets, it is difficult to imagine a way forward for them. We pray daily for a halt in fighting and a country that can be celebrated and restored.

However, if you know this beautiful community of Fond Blanc, you know that it is nestled high in the mountains, miles and crazy roads from those gangs and unrest. It has become a safe respite for many from the city, and we are so grateful to be a small part in that peace.

Mountain communities including Fond Blanc and Cazale, a neighboring village, have seen a significant influx in residents seeking refuge. This has resulted in our beautiful school going from just 70 students (during COVID, as well as the early days) to well over 500 students today! Praise God for Pastor’s insight years earlier to build this school! God has certainly shined on this ministry, giving us vision to provide for those that would one day need it.

In addition to our school providing stability, knowledge and a future for so many students, we have invested additional funds in sustainability, agronomy and food production. Pastor’s divine providence once again proved to be “spot on” as he worked to create an ecosystem within this village, which would become less reliant on purchasing food from the city. This vision and investment provide necessary nutrition, as well as teaching our students about necessary skills of farming and raising chickens.

Although we pray fervently for change within Haiti, we give all the glory to God for Pastor’s providence in preparing this Fond Blanc School for providing to so many in need. Additionally, we thank YOU for walking alongside us in this ministry to provide Pastor with the resources needed to care for these deserving children.
